Office of Internationalization and Ranking
Office of Internationalization and Ranking was founded on 11.04.2018 within the scope of the "Hacettepe University General Office for Foreign Affairs Working Principles Guidelines" which was accepted by the University Senate.
The main purpose of this office is to accurate the determination of Hacettepe University's place in the international university rankings and to ensure that the sustainable practices necessary for this to be higher in the rankings are integrated into the University's activities.
- To support the implementation of the internationalization strategy in coordination with the other units of the University
- To follow the analyzes of different institutions operating for university rankings, to inform University, to evaluate data requests and to provide data entry to the related organizations
- To work on improving academic internationalization and increasing visibility

During the calendar period they determine each year, certain data requests for one (or two) previous academic years are compiled and reported to the above mentioned organizations.
Besides there are other university rankings that we do not directly share our data, but follow their ranking results and present their results as detailed reports:
URAP (University Ranking by Academic Performance), CWTS Leiden Ranking, Webometrics (Ranking of Web Universities), Scimago (SCImago Journal & Country Rank), U.S. News and World Report - Best Global Universities Rankings, RUR (Round University Ranking), CWUR (Center for World University Rankings)
The annual evaluation reports of Hacettepe University, in which university ranking institutions evaluate the strongest and weakest indicators of the ranking results, are discussed and analyzed in order to contribute to strategic plannings and archived.
The annual conferences, masterclasses and workshops of international university ranking organizations are followed and our University is represented in these activities.
Hacettepe University attaches special importance to the monitoring and development of performance indicators in order to increase its place in the world university rankings. In our university, international visibility and rating processes are managed by the Office of Internationalization and Ranking.
