Organization of Turkic States

 

The Turkic Universities Union was established with the preparation of its directive during the preparatory meeting of the Turkic Council Turkic Universities Union held in Istanbul on March 28-29, 2013  to promote cooperation in higher education among the member countries of the Turkic Council.

 

As stated on their website, the goals of Turkic Universities Union are as follows:

• Training of common identity conscious to the next generation by practicing appropriate educattion system in the sphere of modern scientific level, taking into account common history, culture and language to provide cooperation agreements between,

• Implementation of common credit transfer system,

• Encourage teaching-staff training programs,

• The implementation of students and teaching-staff exchange programs,

• The creation of appropriate conditions for recognizing the equivalence of diplomas between member universities,

• Benefiting from the outstanding superiority in certain areas of universities,

• Joint training for implementation and execution of the research programs and projects,

• Arranging competitions in science and sport; organize symposiums, academic activities, cultural activities among Member Universities,

• Providing special scholarships for students who conduct studies on the Turkic world,

• Giving courses on common history, culture and literature to universities of all member states.

Our university was accepted as a member of the Turkic Universities Union (TÜRKÜNİB) of the Organization of Turkic States (TDT) at the 7th General Assembly held in Baku, Azerbaijan, on May 20, 2024.
